Bill collects and stores the minimum data necessary to provide the service. Here is what we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Account information

When you sign up, we store your email address for authentication purposes. This is managed by Supabase, our database and authentication provider.

Your data

All data you enter into Bill — inventory, bills of materials, production logs, orders, files, and chat history — is stored in a database hosted by Supabase. Your data is isolated to your account and is not visible to other users. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties, except as required to operate the service (e.g., sending your data to an AI provider when you use the chat feature).

AI provider keys

If you provide an API key for an AI provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI), it is encrypted before storage and is only used to make API calls on your behalf. We do not have access to your key in plaintext after it is saved.

AI processing

When you use the chat feature, your messages and relevant inventory context are sent to your configured AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) for processing. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data sent to their APIs. We do not control how they process or retain this data.

Email forwarding

If you use the email forwarding feature, incoming emails sent to your unique forwarding address are processed by SendGrid (for receiving) and stored in our database. Email body text, sender information, subject lines, and attachments are stored so they can be reviewed within the app.

Cookies and tracking

Bill does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party advertising. The only data stored in your browser is your authentication session and local settings preferences.

Data export and deletion

You can export your data at any time using the CSV export feature in the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at bomwithbill@gmail.com.

By using Bill, you agree to the following terms.

Beta status

Bill is a beta product under active development. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. The service may experience downtime, data loss, or unexpected behavior. You use Bill at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bill and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, interruption of business, or any other commercial damages or losses arising out of or related to your use of the service. This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability and even if Bill has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Bill does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data you store will be preserved.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and any API keys you provide. You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.

AI-generated content

Bill uses artificial intelligence to process your inputs and suggest actions. AI-generated suggestions may be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming any actions before they are applied to your data. Bill is not liable for any consequences of acting on AI-generated suggestions.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting bomwithbill@gmail.com.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email.
